SLC Comic Con!

Here we are with Nathan Fillion and Adam Baldwin--Captain Mal and Jayne Cobb themselves. Awesome!  Mr. Castle even talked to the kids and said, "Ok guys, act like you like me."
Captain...Captain. "Never take a boat into the air that you don't love..."
with Edward James Olmos. He was so nice.
with Adam Baldwin again. I'm dressed like Chuck and he was Col Casey. He's a big dude.
The masses of humanity waiting to get in. My sweet wife got us VIP tickets, so we were able to bypass the lines and walk right in each day.
This guy's costume is amazing. He would put the top on, and the guns moved and he could pop out of the top hatch.
people taking our photo
We ran into this couple all through the con and they always had great costumes.
 little Iron Man with R2
I found the Greatest American Hero.
Tie Fighter pilot and storm troopers
 the girls from Frozen
one of the two original bat mobiles
I thought it was cool that this couple were Bobba Fett and Black Widow
The Avengers Sky Carrier out of Legos
It's Back to the Futer with Dr. Who and Ninja Turtgles on the buildings with the Stay-Puffed Marshmellow Man in the background
The characters from the Lego movie.
 a real Delorean
 An uncanny X-men family
I love this pic of a zombie eating a salad
So this gal is Demona from Gargoyles, and if you look her wing is signed by Marina Sirtis who was the voice of Demona. Awesome.
 Bobba Fett
 the comics
Uncle Bob-wa with some storm troopers
He and I got to go to a Star Trek panel later, hosted by William Shatner and attended by most of the cast of TNG. It was just missing Levar Burton and Patrick Stewart, and Patrick Stewart showed up at the con later.
From left to right, the actors who played Worf, Data, Riker, Kirk, Troi, Crusher and Yar
 Marina Sirtis was hilarious
some Mortal Combat cosplayers
Our little storm trooper with Shredder
Me with two of the Roberts from Kid History. This was on a day that Bob-wa and I were there without the rest of the family. They were bummed to miss these guys. It was really cool to see them, but it was weird to hear them with adult voices.
 the craziness from up above
when I was dressed like Chuck we ran into two girls dressed like Sarah Walker
this guy was one of the original artists on Scooby Doo and He-Man
 with Ghostbusters
some Mandalorian Mercs threw our little Star Wars guys in jail
 don't worry...this Jedi saved them
Darth Vader...the scariest of the nerds...
the Umbrella Corporation dudes from Resident Evil
our little wookie high fiving a big one
we found Inigo Montoya looking for a man with six fingers on his right hand
that couple again, now as Greta and a Buy More worker from Chuck
very special folks...the people watching was most entertaining
I like the two medieval gals at an ATM
Eve from Resident Evil talking to one of the X-Men
with Jack Frost from Rise of the Guardians
candid shot of Snow White with Catwoman
How cool is that? Nerd heaven.
those are cakes
 with Zelda
 Halo guys
 even Jack Sparrow walking around
 check out the Justice Friends
This is my boom stick...the cast of Evil Dead-The Musical
 The little Wookie!
 with Princess Leia
with a member of the Volturi from Twilight
 more cosplayers
these Harley Quinns were pretty good
 so fun
 more Frozen
 waiting for Nathan Fillion's panel
 he was very cool
 Captain America!
 some Star Wars rebels
 an easy costume...
during this, volunteers were handing out free Legos and kids were dancing to "Everything is Awesome" but my kids would rather play Nintendo.
these ARE the droids we were looking for
our daughter got to do some experiments at Kid Con
she made some Martian Ocean
 a family of mermaids
 acrobats
some more science experiments, this time with Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz
making that foil ring fly around
Then they made super hero masks. I was watching them at this point as my wife and sister were in Karen Gillan's Dr. Who panel.
 Oh yeah
all the while, acrobats above us hanging from the ceiling
 very impressive
 posing with Bobba
 body painting
 Wow!
 quiet confidence
 meeting back up
a quick hi to the Easter Bunny
 everybody's at this party
 my Sis with Dr. Who
 Adam Baldwin's panel
 some Spider-man shenanigans
strike a pose with Chun Li from Street Fighter
my Sis and daughter with the Dr. Who Tardis
a Batman villains family...looks like it's too much for the Penguin
 the professional cosplayers...
though my wife says they are professionals like Inara (for the Firefly fans)
 speaking of Firefly
 What's up, Loki?
 a Borg
a pretty good Mal and Inara
Legolas standing guard on the way out
And I'll leave you with the selfie my daughter took while waiting in line for a photo op.  Comic Con was most excellent. Though my wife and oldest son were ready for it to be over, the rest of us loved it and are looking forward to hitting up the one in Dallas in a couple of weeks.
